life captured…

I am sure you have noticed the cute little movie at the top of our blog (if you can’t see it or if our pictures are really small it is just because the browser you are using isn’t up to date:)), well that and many other things are thanks to our graphic designer, Ryan, who hasĀ helped us create our brand. We are really quite proud of it! He created our logo and many other things that go with our motto, “life captured.” Here is an image of just a couple things he has created for us…

If you need a graphic designer for anything, he is the guy to call! I have e-mailed him a few times since finishing up with “everything” because I just needed one more thing. He is really great!

One of our 2010 goals is to really make a point of capturing real life. Yes, yes, yes it has been our motto for over a year, but the truth is we weren’t doing a great job of doing it. The truth is that when I would get to a shoot my insecurities would often settle in and I started posing people instead of really capturing their family. I have thought a lot about the images I love the most from my childhood, the ones I clung to when my brother’s accident first happened. Those images were not posed pictures, they were pictures of the love happening between my family, they were pictures of my brother and I laughing as we hit a million balloons around in a photography studio, they were ones of us sledding down the hill, and ones where I was snuggled up against my grandpa- those are the images that I really loved. Those are images of a “life captured.” So 2010 will be the year we will try our best to truly capture your life, we will capture images that your children will look back at when they are my age and be reminded of a fabulous childhood and remember being loved deeply. As I was updating our website I realized we took a lot of those kind of photos in 2009 we just didn’t blog them. Why, you ask?? I really don’t know! I wish we did… so here is what we want our 2010 to look a bit more like:)
